Mint, Chocolate And Coconut Nut Free Bliss Balls

Bliss Balls are always in a winner on the blog and I love them because they're so quick and easy to make and a great snack to have in the fridge when the kids are hungry.

This recipe is great for kids, but I made this chocolate and mint bliss ball recipe up more for the adults. I'm thinking they would make a yummy home made Christmas present in a few weeks!!

Mint, Chocolate And Coconut Nut Free Bliss Balls Recipe

Gluten free, wheat free, dairy free, egg free, nut free, soy free

Ingredients

1 tbsp chia seeds, you can use black or white
¾ cup (95g) organic cacao nibs
1½ cups (130g) organic desiccated coconut
2 tbsps organic cacao powder
Pinch of salt
2 tbsps organic coconut cream (use the thick cream at the top of the can)
12 large fresh medjool dates
4 drops edible peppermint oil / peppermint extract (or to taste)

Method

  • Grind chia seeds and cacao nibs in a food processor in Thermomix until fine - approx. 30 secs, speed 9 in a Thermomix
  • Add all other ingredients and blitz for about 1 minute until it's nice and smooth and comes together
  • Roll into balls, or you could pop in a slice pan and chop up later
  • Place in the fridge until ready to serve

Tip: You could also use organic shredded coconut or coconut chips if that's what you have at home, just blitz it for longer until it's nice and smooth. Feel free to roll these in desiccated coconut or Drinking Chocolate.

Orders placed after 10am WST will be dispatched the next business day.

There may be delays on Mondays and after public holidays due to packing orders for the whole weekend. We’ll dispatch orders in the order they’re received, with express orders prioritised.

During warmer weather, we may hold orders with Chocolate Shipping on Thursdays and Fridays to ensure your treats stay in perfect condition. This may also occur on days above 35°C degrees in our location.

During peak times like Easter and Christmas there may also be delays for seasonal orders.

We take a lot of care to ensure your order gets to you in perfect condition.

IN SUMMER: If you have chocolate in your order, you'll only get the option for chocolate shipping which is express plus an ice pack. This costs considerably more because we add an ice pack which we need to freeze ahead, we wrap it to help prevent your goodies getting wet, it weighs 0.5kg that adds to your order weight and we also time the packing of these orders so they're done last. All of this adds extra time and complexity - and of course cost. You may prefer to place a small chocolate order, and then place a separate order and choose standard for your other goodies that are not heat sensitive. This may work out cheaper.

IN COOLER WEATHER: Feel free to select standard shipping to save on the shipping fee however we are not responsible for heat damage that occurs during transit. Heat damage may involve melting, or the chocolate may go white and crumbly (this does not mean it's old, it has been hot over a long period). Please select chocolate shipping for the best outcome. You may prefer to place a small chocolate order, and then place a separate order and choose standard for your other goodies that are not heat sensitive. This may work out cheaper.

If you live in Perth, or are visiting, we do offer Click & Collect for orders placed online.

Please choose 'Pick Up' as the delivery method at the checkout. You may collect Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 9 am and 12 noon.

We are not available Mondays, Fridays, afternoons, evenings, weekends or public holidays as we are run by a team of mums who have families they manage and we often start early in the morning to be ready for our daily Australia Post pick up.

We are also closed between Christmas and the start of the new year as advertised on our website.

At Happy Tummies, we do everything we can to pack your order carefully to ensure it arrives safely. However, due to the fragile nature of some of our items, minor breakages may occur in transit. We never ship items in damaged packaging or that are broken.

Please note:

Inedible Products:If any item arrives in a condition that makes it inedible, we will gladly replace it for you, or refund.

Cosmetic Damage:Items like biscuits and chocolate bars may occasionally break during delivery. While these products might not look perfect, they’re still safe to enjoy, and therefore we’re unable to provide replacements for cosmetic damage.

We appreciate your understanding and are here to help if you have any concerns! Our goal is to ensure you’re happy with your order while also minimising unnecessary waste.
