I just love the texture and flavour of the custard, I make it with my rice milk and it’s delicious and I have recommended it to my gluten free friend and family.
I made a double batch of the custard (2 sachets) to make Lisa’s vanilla slice. The custard was so thick and creamy! My dairy free cousin who usually never eats dessert because of the dairy thought he’d died and gone to heaven being able to eat vanilla slice. My husband said the custard reminded him of the vanilla slice he had as a kid from Gillies Bakery. I love when food triggers fond memories.
