Day 4 of the 12 Days of Christmas - Fruit Christmas Tree

Every year I look at those stacks of star cookies piled high and wonder if I should buy one of the sets to do it. With fruit I could just used the set of stars I had. Melon is easy for the large stars so I used a combination of watermelon, rockmelon and honeydew melon so it looked pretty.

Simply cut one star of each size from each melon and then pile them on top of each other in order from largest to smallest. Poke a wooden skewer from the top to the bottom and then place a small star at the top. Trim the skewer if required so it's not higher than the top star.

These would look beautiful on any dessert buffet or as a table decoration!
