Two Ingredient Dairy & Egg Free Chocolate Mousse

One of the things I'm always on the lookout for as an allergy mum are quick and easy dessert recipes that the kids will love!

I don't make dessert every day of course, but when we have visitors over I often find myself making two desserts (sound familiar?).....

So if one is really easy that's a bonus! In fact, I'd even say that this recipe is so good that you could serve this to everyone.

Maybe serve it with some yummy biscotti and coffee and everyone will be happy!

This recipe is a good one if you have way too many Easter eggs (though I'm not sure if that's possible ;-) ). You can melt them down and have chocolate mousse instead.

I've simply combined a can of Nature's Charm Coconut Whipping Cream with some melted chocolate and the results is pretty amazing! If it's not sweet enough for your family you could add a little maple syrup or honey, but I think it tastes pretty good without!

Dairy & Egg Free Chocolate Mousse - Happy Tummies

Dairy & Egg Free Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Gluten free, wheat free, dairy free, soy free, nut free, egg free, yeast free

4 - 6 serves

Ingredients:

200g safe chocolate to melt
1 x can Nature's Charm Coconut Whipping Cream
1 x jar Nature's Charm Coconut Chocolate Fudge Sauce (optional for decoration, but amazing and highly recommended ;-) )

Method:

  • Use a double boiler or microwave to melt your chocolate - if you do it in the microwave only do it in short bursts and stir in between - let it cool for a few minutes before using
  • Whip your Nature's Charm Coconut Whipping Cream after leaving it in the fridge overnight (I did in my Thermomix with the butterfly in on speed 4 for about one and a half minutes)
  • Add chocolate to cream and mix well, but not too much
  • Pour into bowls to set and pop in the fridge until ready to serve
