I've got a wonderful new distributor for the green banana flour I stock and it's got great new packaging. Some of you will be jumping for joy when I tell you that Maree Wilkinson who is a wholefood chef from Cape Wholefoods is also a recipe creator and has started working on some great little recipes to use the banana flour in.
I've got permission to share her recipe with you today for Sesame Crackers. I made them to try them out for you and I must say I was really impressed with the dough and how easy it was to work with, and the crackers were yummy and crunchy (and surprisingly not like banana at all!)
We just ate them plain but they would be great with a yummy dip or a beautiful cheese if tolerated. I think they're best eaten the day they're made so they're still crunchy but they are still good once stored.
The other great news is that Maree is also working on some yummy pancake mixes that I will be able to stock them very soon - I'll let you all know when they are available! They'll be made with banana flour of course and other beautiful ingredients. Maree takes a lot of effort in her recipe creation to make sure that they are recipes kids will love! I'll bring more of her recipes to you in the future!
